Thanksgiving is right around the corner. For a lot of you that means getting together with family, sharing laughter, and eating A LOT of delicious foods (too much food, maybe? ha!). It is the season to remember to be thankful. No matter what our circumstances are, it is important to look at even the tiniest things as “blessings.”
We asked our patients that came into the office to write down what they were thankful for. It has been SO fun to see what each of you has written down. Hanging all of the “thankful” leaves on our wall, we are all personally reminded to give thanks. Doing this activity at your family’s thanksgiving celebration would be a fun idea! Have each person write down what they are thankful for, and then hang them all from a small tree for the whole family to see.
What are you thankful for this season?
A lot of you have been whitening your teeth and strive to have a bright, pearly white smile. Dark foods can hinder the ability for your teeth to be their whitest! It is a good idea to avoid certain foods after you have whitened your teeth. Here are some foods to avoid during your Thanksgiving feast:
- Dark Chocolate
- Tomato Sauce
- Grape/Cranberry/Orange Juice
- Coffee/Tea/Red Wine
- Hard CandyA helpful reminder is, if the food turns your tongue a certain color chances are it will stain your teeth! If you do consume some of these foods, make sure you brush your teeth right after you are finished eating.
We are very thankful for you! Thank you for being a part of our Valley Dental Family.
